Cities Coalition for Digital Rights
City of Portland is a part of the Cities Coalition for Digital Rights. This coalition is a joint initiative launched by Amsterdam, Barcelona, and New York City. The initiative commits to protect, promote, and monitor digital rights.
The declaration outlines five sections for how cities have come together to protect and uphold human rights on the internet on local and global scales:
Universal and equal access to the internet and digital literacy
Privacy, data protection, and security
Transparency, accountability, and non discrimination of data, content, and algorithms
Participatory Democracy, diversity, and inclusion
Open and ethical digital service standards
